We desire to provide the creative and technical foundation to become a positive influence in the area of media and entertainment. The skills learned in this class will be helpful in creating projects for other classes as well. Students will be encouraged to use the talents they have been given to glorify God by seeking to make choices that are pleasing to God. Currently technology now allows us to provide cutting edge equipment to enhance the learning experience while preparing our students to develop valuable communication skills.
Lower School Multimedia
Our Foundation Academy Multimedia Program embraces the use of multiple streams of media such as text, photo, video, audio, graphics {non-text}, and animation to produce a wide range of student-centered projects and designs. With technology being the heart of our program, our students complete their assignments on their assigned MacBooks to design their masterpieces. Students are inspired to engage in critical thinking while using verbal and nonverbal methods which are used to promote a higher level of thinking while having fun with their peers.
Multimedia Foundations (7-12)
The purpose of this course is to provide a hands-on overview of MAC computers including various multimedia programs. The course also encourages expression through creativity with students creating projects while exploring the various programs. Students will also learn about our School News Show skills and may have an opportunity to participate.
TV Production I (7-12)
Students will learn basic skills in show production and editing. Projects will include a PSA, Commercial, Claymation, and a Silent B/W Video. They will also learn to identify possible segments and produce basic segments with a clear message for our school news show. Students will further develop production skills through more complex editing and will learn to create their own original music to be used in their segments.

FATV is On-Air and producing short segment content for varied distribution to our families, staff and campuses.
FA Multimedia
FA Multimedia focuses on content that runs longer than 4 minutes and special event related and based on feature content.
Special Projects
Each year has a series of special events and engagements that inevitably have media needs to compliment and help highlight the nature of the presentation.
Program Highlights
Students will demonstrate awareness of MAC computer systems, the impact of technology on careers and society and the need for its ethical use, and personal and occupational uses of computers and other technology. They will utilize various computer applications to manipulate images, exercise social and ethical responsibility in regards to current issues and biblical principles, and apply technology productivity tools to enhance learning and promote creativity.
Students will learn the history of television, practice basic video camera operation using various cameras, and demonstrate introductory post-production skills in graphics, audio, and editing using MAC computers. Students will also have the opportunity to learn basic scriptwriting and storyboarding skills alongside basic direction and production skills through video projects that will allow them to understand career opportunities in the television industry.

Students will develop a strong understanding of the MAC OS environment, learning how to navigate, manage files, and utilize system tools to streamline their creative projects. They will gain essential skills in operating a MAC system, preparing them for professional use in multimedia and TV production.

Students will explore the full range of Adobe Creative Suite applications, from Photoshop to Premiere Pro, enabling them to create high-quality visuals, edit video content, and produce professional-grade multimedia projects. These tools are integral to mastering digital media in today’s creative industries.

Combine Conventional & Non-Conventional Methods
Students will learn to blend traditional video production techniques with cutting-edge digital methods, fostering innovation in their creative process. By integrating both conventional and non-conventional approaches, they will expand their problem-solving skills and explore new ways to tell compelling stories.

Learn to Master Hardware
Students will become proficient in handling video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio devices. Through hands-on experience, they will gain confidence in setting up and using hardware to bring their creative vision to life, preparing them for real-world production scenarios.
